The aims of this course are to encourage students to develop an interest in, and an enthusiasm for, language learning. Students will learn how to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively in Spanish and will develop awareness and understanding of Hispanic contemporary society, cultural background and heritage of Spanish speaking countries or communities. In the first year of the course, students study artistic culture and aspects of Hispanic society including modern and traditional values, Spanish regional identity, cyberspace and equal rights. Students also have conversation sessions with the Spanish language assistant.
Each of the six subjects is marked out of 7 (maximum of 42 points).
