A Level Mathematics: All students study Pure Mathematics, with algebra and calculus being the major features of this aspect of the course, as well as developing a deeper understanding of trigonometry and aspects of graphs, functions and sequences. New numbers, such as e are used and considered as part of calculus and alongside logarithms. All students also study some applied mathematics considering both mechanics and statistical concepts, which enhance the learning of subjects such as Physics, Economics, Biology and Psychology.
Each of the six subjects is marked out of 7 (maximum of 42 points).
