Physics is an excellent subject to be considered by those with a deep-rooted passion for Science or anyone who enjoys tackling and solving mathematical problems. It is looked upon favourably by universities for entry to a wide variety of courses. Candidates wishing to study Physics would normally be expected to have achieved grade 6 or higher in GCSE Physics or 7 in Dual Award Science. Due to the high mathematical content pupils need a grade 7 or higher in Mathematics and it is desirable that A Level students study Mathematics.
Each of the six subjects is marked out of 7 (maximum of 42 points).
