Course summary

Mathematics will appeal to you if you enjoy solving problems using logic and numerical skills. It is a subject that is well worth studying for its own sake, but it is also a useful support for the sciences, business studies/economics and those humanities that require a statistical approach to data (e.g. psychology). The course aims to: • develop logical thinking • fine tune algebraic skills • broaden your knowledge by studying new branches of the subject • gain insight into mathematical modelling which is used in ‘real life’.
