This accessible but challenging course combines four respected and related philosophical disciplines: Epistemology, Moral Philosophy, The Metaphysics of God (Philosophy of Religion) and The Metaphysics of Mind. Building on the critical ethical study undertaken in GCSE RS, and covering much of the previously familiar A Level course known as ‘Religious Studies’, this course investigates our capacity to know the world, to make consistent moral decisions, to argue for belief in God and to understand human consciousness. Pupils will study all four areas: epistemology, moral philosophy, metaphysics of God and metaphysics of mind. The qualification is linear which means that all pupils will sit two examinations at the end of the course.
