This course offers an excellent insight into the theoretical and biological aspects of sporting performance and coaching. Whether you are looking to enhance your understanding of exercise physiology and anatomy, understand how nutrition maximises athlete performance, develop your understanding of how to manage sport in the industry or develop your leadership skills through sports coaching, this course is for you.
All offers are conditional upon 6 passes at Grade 5 or above at GCSE/IGCSE or the equivalent.
Assessment will mainly be through assessed assignments. Two of the units over the two years will be assessed via externally marked examinations. Within the coursework units, assessment will be generated through a range of activities, including written reports, practical work, poster presentations, leaflet design, observations and oral assessment.
