Economics is for students who want to understand how the world around them works. It makes them think laterally about a range of interesting and topical problems. Economics study facilitates the development of logic and critical thinking skills, applying economic theories to various contexts in order to analyse their strengths and limitations. Economics is a relevant, useful and interesting subject that engages students in debate, grounds them in theory and enables them to become more aware of the economic issues affecting the world. The Edexcel Economics course aims to equip students with a solid foundation in both microeconomics and macroeconomics which will enable them to understand how economics is applicable to so many areas of everyday life.
