Course summary

Computer Science is a creative subject where you can use your problem-solving skills to apply the academic principles learned in the classroom to real world systems. The project approach is a vital component of ‘postschool’ life and is of particular relevance to Further Education, Higher Education and the workplace. Students who study A-Level Computer Science may go on to study at degree level, or any related science or engineering discipline. The course also opens up many career possibilities.

Entry requirements

We expect pupils joining us at the Sixth Form level to have attained five or more GCSEs at grade C or above. Experience has shown us that this level of prior attainment indicates a pupil who can cope with the demands of our Sixth Form curriculum. We will, however, consider each case on its merits.
