Design and Technology (Product Design)

Course summary

The Product Design 3D A Level course provides an excellent foundation for students interested in a career in the creative industries, addressing key engineering principles as well as designing and manufacturing skills, including CAD/CAM. The A Level course is taught through a series of designing and practical activities, designing skills are developed alongside subject theory in Lower Sixth. Upper Sixth students carry out a Non-Exam Assessment project, which comprises a substantial folio of design work and the making of a prototype model.
