The OCR A Chemistry A Level course is a content-led specification which has been structured by the Chemistry department in such a way as to provide the best experience of the subject for girls at Benenden. The course consists of 6 modules: ■ Development of practical skills in Chemistry ■ Foundations in Chemistry ■ Periodic Table and Energy ■ Core Organic Chemistry and Analysis ■ Physical Chemistry and Transition Elements ■ Organic Chemistry and Analysis Our route through these modules is tailor made for the development of deeper understanding and confidence in the subject. Development of practical skills underpins the whole of the specification and these are assessed within written examinations and through the Practical Activity Group (PAG) of tasks. Modules 1 to 6, combined with the Practical Endorsement, constitute the full A Level.
