Course summary

The IB course examines modern history from not only a European but also a global perspective. The course incorporates some work from primary sources but is mainly examined through essays which often contain a comparative dimension. As with A Level the department has had much recent success supporting applications to study history at university, including three Oxbridge offers over the past two years.
