There are so many important questions and decisions we must make in life. There are so many different ways of understanding the world and our place within it. For thousands of years people have tried to make sense of it all. What is life all about? Why is there evil in the world? Is euthanasia wrong? When is it right to go to war? If you value discussion and debate, if you are fascinated by life’s mysteries, then this is the course for you.
Candidates need to obtain a grade 6 or above in GCSE English to take this option. A GCSE in Religious Studies puts you at a slight advantage but is not a requirement.
The course is assessed through written examination using both short answers and longer essays.
