Studying Business is a route into many careers and it can prove invaluable for careers in sports, the arts or any profession where you are likely to be self-employed. CTECs carry equivalent UCAS points to A Levels so a wide choice of university courses is an option. CTEC’s practical skills both qualify and prepare students for post-18 apprenticeships. As well as developing practical skills that will prepare students for post-18 apprenticeships, CTECs carry equivalent UCAS points to A Levels and qualify students for a wide range of university degrees. Students will develop a thorough understanding of how businesses operate day to day and what affects their success. Students will learn how to prepare basic financial documents and assess the performance of a business based on a wide range of factors. They will learn practical skills essential to running or working in a business such as conducting market research, planning business meetings and prioritising business tasks. Students will also learn how to evaluate different options for financing a business, such as crowdfunding or issuing shares.
