A Level Specification code: H556 AS Level Specification code: H156 A Level Physics enables pupils to build on their knowledge of the laws of physics, applying their understanding to solve problems on topics ranging from subatomic particles to the entire universe. They also have the opportunity to develop all the relevant practical skills. The content is in six modules: Module 1: Development of practical skills in physics Module 2: Foundations in physics Module 3: Forces and motion Module 4: Electrons, waves and photons Module 5: Newtonian world and astrophysics Module 6: Particles and medical physics AS Level Physics covers modules 1 to 4 only. In all three A level courses pupils gain practical skills throughout the course. These are assessed in the written examinations and in the practical endorsement which is reported separately on the examination certificate.
