Entrance to the Sixth Form is conditional on GCSE results, a minimum of five GCSEs at grades 9 – 4 with a grade 6 in those subjects to be studied. A satisfactory reference from your current Head of Year 11 and evidence of predicted GCSE results.
AS-level (H008) There is a compulsory unit, ‘the world of the hero’, focusing on Homer’s Odyssey. The examination lasts for 1 hour and 30 minutes and this unit is worth 50% of the final qualification. Candidates then study one topic from Greek theatre or imperial image (looking on the image of the first emperor of Rome, Augustus).
