Course summary

Reading Greek and Roman epics in English translation offers opportunities to make a personal response to some of the finest literature ever written. The broad scope of artistic evidence looked at in Greek Art is fascinating and the ideas formed by the first democratic society are intellectually stimulating and inspire debate. This course will be ideal for those who want a fresh start on something different or those who want an in depth understanding of the Ancient world, without studying Latin or Ancient Greek.
