Course summary

Students at A Level work with autonomy in directing their own topics and developing projects that are not dictated to them but, instead, are formed through collaboratively working with their teacher to make each project completely unique. This approach is set against small group sizes that allow students to receive bespoke, one-to-one advice that enables them to play to their own strengths and achieve highly. This allows us to work with an almost limitless array of materials and techniques, and students are supported by specialist teachers with many years of experience to help to guide them in making decisions. Many Tormead A Level Art students go on to Art-based Foundation and Degree courses, and we have a strong record of ex-Tormead Sixth Form students who have achieved highly at top creative institutions such as Kingston School of Art, Edinburgh College of Art, the London College of Fashion and Goldsmiths University.
