Course summary

Literature can be transformational; this course offers a unique opportunity to challenge your attitudes, perspectives and experiences. It is essential that you enjoy reading and are willing to read extensively in your own time to support class work. Discussion is crucial to the development of ideas and perspectives and, therefore, you should be willing to offer informed and thoughtful contributions in class. You must also enjoy writing and be prepared to produce several essays per Half Term.

Entry requirements

Entry into the Sixth Form is conditional on performance in GCSEs and successful candidates are expected to have at least five grade 4 GCSEs (to include English and mathematics) GCSE minimum grades for acceptance: 6 in English Literature Strongly Recommended: 6 or above in English Language
