Course summary

This is a course for people interested in the study of living things, who enjoy practical work and hands-on learning. The volume of facts and terminology mean that you will require a good comprehension of the English language. Students will also need to have passed higher tier GCSE Mathematics or equivalent. Year 12 1. Biological molecules; 2. Cells; 3. Organisms exchange substances with their environment; 4. Genetic information, variation and relationships between organisms Year 13 5. Energy transfers in and between organisms; 6. Organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environments; 7. Genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystems; 8. Entry requirements

*A minimum of Grade 7 at GCSE Biology is required to study the subject at A Level.
