To be a successful historian you need to: • Be prepared to read widely. • Be prepared to discuss, debate, disagree and change your mind! • Be prepared to engage in varied challenging and fun activities. Students who have studied history have gone on to: University studies in history and archaeology, to PhD level, politics, business, marketing, law, and journalism. Careers in banking, television, radio, film production, national and local government, law, social work, education, charity, the heritage industry, and “civil service”.
