Spanish is for you if you expect to achieve Grade 7 or above at GCSE with ease and feel competent and confident in the four language skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking. Accuracy in writing and oral work is particularly important. You need to have a great enthusiasm for the language and an interest in widening your knowledge and understanding of the culture of the Spanish-speaking world. You will need a very sound grasp of grammar and all the tenses, and be a good independent learner, as the course progresses at a very rapid pace. There is also a huge amount of vocabulary to be learnt each week. Lessons are conducted in the target language and you will be required to develop and analyse your opinion on a wide range of topics.
