This is a subject where we can delve into these philosophical and ethical arguments and create our own understandings surrounding the ‘ultimate questions’. Students choosing to pursue this discipline in the Sixth Form will follow the the AQA Philosophy, Ethics and Religion programme. The course is challenging but ultimately rewarding, developing skills of research, critical thinking and interpretation.
Year 11 students transfer automatically into the Sixth Form, provided that they have gained at least five subjects at grade 6 and above, including English Language and mathematics, and with no less than a grade 6 (ideally a 7, 8 or 9 grade) in the subjects, or related, with which they wish to continue at A level.
