Course summary

A level Business covers all aspects of the business world and will provide you with an understanding of how businesses work. Everybody is involved in some kind of business. Whether you become a teacher, lawyer, doctor, accountant, interior designer, forensic scientist or hotel manager, you will be part of a business. Business is relevant to everyone and combines well with all other A level subjects. In the jungle of the jobs market, you will have the advantage with inside knowledge of how your workplace actually runs. The course is very broad and contains areas of interest to everyone. Particular emphasis is placed on the challenges of running a business, making strategic decisions and analysing business situations so that judgments can be made about recent performance and the business’ future. You will be involved in practical problem solving and will develop the skills of communication, interpreting data and working with other people to make business related decisions. There will never be a dull moment.
