In the first year of study the specification concentrates on people, politics and participation as well as governing modern Britain, retaining much of the content from the previous specification. In the second year US politics and US government and ideologies will be studied.
Preferably at least a Grade 6 in both English Literature or History and English Language.
Politics will be assessed through a combination of three written exams based on the government and politics of the UK; the government and politics of the USA (comparative study) and political ideas.
