A Level Music is a fantastic option for students who enjoy playing an instrument or singing, like exploring and creating their own music, enjoy listening to all kinds of music and are interested in how music has developed. Students will find the course stimulating and enriching with plenty of opportunities to develop their own individual skills, through performing both individually and as a group, developing their analytical, listening and appraising skills and creative composition. There will be many opportunities to go to concerts featuring music from classical to jazz and the non- Western tradition, as well as visits to the opera and musical theatre.
Demonstrate the ability to achieve at least 6 good passes at GCSE. Demonstrate potential to gain a Grade 6 at GCSE for your chosen subjects with a 7 recommended for Maths and the Sciences.
