Course summary

Mathematics is the right choice for students who enjoy thinking logically and solving problems. At GCSE, students discuss new ideas and apply them to questions. The same is true for A Level with a greater emphasis on writing convincing working and applying the skills in a more independent way. Mathematics plays an important role in many careers including computing, business management, economics, medicine, geography, psychology and social sciences. Mathematics can be usefully combined with any subjects.

Entry requirements

Demonstrate the ability to achieve at least 6 good passes at GCSE. Demonstrate potential to gain a Grade 6 at GCSE for your chosen subjects with a 7 recommended for Maths and the Sciences.
