Course summary

In what other subject could you study topics as diverse as China’s one-child policy, AIDS and development, and the exploitation of rainforests and coral reefs? Geography develops your understanding of physical, economic, social and environmental issues with case studies taken from across all continents. Alongside the fundamental cartographic and statistical techniques, Geography develops many key skills, most notably research, independent learning and group work. You have the chance to collect primary data via fieldwork, carried out in a variety of venues from the Alps to Barcelona and London Docklands, and to develop your use of ICT. You will truly become an informed global citizens.
