Course summary

Further Mathematics is a challenging course, which is highly regarded for entry to many leading universities. It is not only intended for those who want to study Mathematics at degree level; there are courses in Economics, Physics and Engineering, for example, for which a study of Further Mathematics would be extremely helpful and would make the applicant more attractive.

Entry requirements

Grade 8 or 9 in GCSE or IGCSE Mathematics.

How you'll be assessed

There will be three papers, all of which will be sat in the summer of the Upper Sixth: Pure Mathematics and Mechanics (2 hours), Pure Mathematics and Statistics (2 hours), Pure Mathematics and Comprehension (2 hours).
