A Level Mathematics is a qualification that is well-respected by both employers and higher education. It supports the study of other A Levels and is excellent preparation for a wide range of university courses. Studying Mathematics not only increases knowledge and awareness of mathematical techniques and their processes, but also develops key employability skills such as problem-solving, communication and resilience. Some knowledge of Maths is useful in any job, but it is especially key in sectors such as Technology, Engineering, Architecture, Finance and Statistics.
We believe pupils who are aiming for at least a grade 7 at IGCSE/GCSE are able to experience success in A Level Mathematics, with a minimum requirement of grade 6 at GCSE required to be accepted on the course. However, this is only part of the requirement; in order to be successful you will need to be motivated, organised and willing to persevere with difficult problems; but most important of all you must quite simply enjoy learning Mathematics.
