Course summary

This course will enable you to become confident in the language. You will develop your knowledge and understanding of the language, culture and society of German-speaking countries. You will also study two literary texts in depth. You will also have the opportunity to carry out an individual research project on an aspect of Germanic culture. We teach in small groups at this level and the lessons are conducted mainly in German. You will also have one-to-one sessions with the native speaker German assistant. The AQA Advanced Level in German consists of two externally examined papers assessing Listening, Reading and Writing and a Speaking assessment.
