Course summary

The course is not about playing hockey/rugby/netball for five periods a week! The practical elements of the course are closely linked with theoretical understanding and application. Psychology of sport • Skill acquisition • Exercise physiology and anatomy • Biomechanics • Applied exercise physiology • Contemporary studies in PE and sport.

Entry requirements

King's welcomes applications for admission to the 6th Form. We have a significant post-GCSE entry into our 6th Form and places are offered based on an interview and references from the candidate's current school. Candidates are expected to gain at least a 4/5 or 6 in each subject they hope to study at A Level and overall a minimum of 5 GCSEs with at least 4 GCSEs at Grade 4. Candidates applying to study BTECS will be offered places after interviews with the Deputy Head Academic and the Headmaster.
