CamTech Business allows students to learn about business from a more practical point of view, combining theory with practice. Through studying marketing, customers and communication, event planning and the business environment, a wide range of transferable skills are also learnt, leading to a wide variety of career paths. Students learn how a business might evolve from a start-up to a large multinational organisation. They look at the internal functional areas of business, giving them a taste of Human Resources, Marketing and Finance as well as discovering the external constraints faced by the business sector.
For entry into the Sixth Form, candidates are required to have at least six good passes at GCSE, including English and Maths.
Five units are studied over the two-year course. Three are assessed by coursework and two by examination.
