Course summary

You can combine your BTEC Level 3 Diploma with one A level subject. This will give you the opportunity to apply for university or complete a degree apprenticeship. You may choose to go straight into the world of work where employers value BTECs highly as the ongoing assessment creates a need to be well organised and develop good time management. The BTEC is certainly a good pathway to an apprenticeship as well as a foundation to many university courses related to business management. BTEC Level 3 Business Diploma is equivalent to two A levels. You will have a keen interest in business and what makes organisations work. You will need to be well organised and keen to undertake independent learning. Most units of the BTEC course require research into different aspects of business which is then analysed and presented in professional reports. You will have to meet regular assignment deadlines and prepare for three external assessments.
