Course summary

Studying Law gives students an understanding of the role of Law in today's society and raises their awearness of the rights and responsibilities of individuals. By learning about legal rules and how and why they apply to real life, students also develop their anaytical ability, decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. All these skills are highly sought after by higher education and employers. Topics with the A Level are: The nature of law and the English legal system, Criminal Law, Tort Law , and Contract Law.

Entry requirements

You will need to have achieved level 5 or above in at least five GCSE Subjects and it is preferable if you achieved a Maths grade of level 6 or above.

How you'll be assessed

A non-returnable registration fee (£50) is payable on submission of an application. Please ensure the school is told at the application stage if your child has a disability or particular need to that we can properly assess his/her requirements. Assessments from professionals such as Educational Psychologists should be provided at this stage.
