As the science of life, Biology is essential to our understanding of the world and the organisms with which we share our planet. The new specifications have been developed to ensure that the subject content is relevant to real-world experiences and is interesting to teach and learn. As Biology is fundamentally an experimental subject, the specifications provide numerous opportunities to use practical experiences to link theory to reality and equip pupils with the essential practical skills they need.
