For IB, we offer two courses. Assessment is through exams at the end of Year 13, coursework essays and oral presentations. English A: Language and Literature (higher or standard level) allows you to explore a selection of literature from a variety of forms, periods and places. The linguistic aspects of the course allow you to investigate nonliterary texts as well as literary works. Alternatively, English B (higher or standard level) will suit you if English is not your first language and you need to improve your language skills. This course involves the study of a variety of text types linked to a series of course categories such as Personal Identity, Social Organisation and Sharing the Planet. In the course you will hone communication skills across reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Each of the six subjects is marked out of 7 (maximum of 42 points).
