A grade 6 or equivalent in (I)GCSE English and Science would be preferred. A grade 5 or equivalent in (I)GCSE Maths would be beneficial. What is essential is enthusiasm, commitment, curiosity, and a genuine interest in the subject.
At HL there are three IB examinations at the end of the two year course – Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. Internal Assessment (IA) Both HL and SL complete an internal assessment worth 20% or 25% respectively. Pupils will replicate a renowned psychological experiment in small groups. They will then individually write a 2000 word scientific report. The IA is internally assessed and externally moderated.
