Through the study of languages, cultures, and ideas and issues of global significance students develop international mindedness. In our increasingly multicultural world, the acquisition of one or more languages to a good level is an extremely desirable addition to your skill base and one which will enhance career prospects and widen your opportunities, now perhaps more than ever. Germany is at the heart of European culture. This wide-ranging and stimulating course develops language and research skills and heightens awareness of the world’s cultural and social diversity. Visits to plays, films and lectures are arranged to complement the topics covered in the programme. Those studying German have the opportunity to visit Berlin and to apply for study scholarships sponsored by the German government.
