Our course epitomises personalised learning, adapting each year to recognise the trends of the art world and the personalities of our boys. Those who study here show real diversity in their choice of themes and we do everything that we can to avoid a ‘house style’ so that real innovation can emerge. All boys receive personalised in-house tuition to become the best artist they can possibly be, with the added support of local artists. One key feature is our top-quality studio spaces, with allocated Sixth Form provision where we also source and supply all materials. We believe that boys work best when they have ownership of their space and the freedom to experiment.
To maximise success at A Level we recommend: • A sum of at least 30 points from the top five GCSE grades • Grade 5 in GCSE English • Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics • Grade 7* in the subjects to be studied at A Level All applications to subjects will be considered. Students are encouraged to speak with the Head of Department, Deputy Head Academic, or Sixth Form Academic Coordinator who can advise further on suitability to the A Level course. *Grade 8 for Further Mathematics.
