You will also benefit from a weekly one-to-one conversation lesson with a native French speaker. With over 300 million French speakers across all five continents, French remains the working language of several key international organisations and is also an essential language in the world’s economy. A Level French will equip you with a host of transferable skills, including problem-solving, analysis and the ability to eloquently communicate, making you valuable to universities and employers.
To maximise success at A Level we recommend: • A sum of at least 30 points from the top five GCSE grades • Grade 5 in GCSE English • Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics • Grade 7* in the subjects to be studied at A Level All applications to subjects will be considered. Students are encouraged to speak with the Head of Department, Deputy Head Academic, or Sixth Form Academic Coordinator who can advise further on suitability to the A Level course. *Grade 8 for Further Mathematics.
