A-Level Physics provides students the opportunity to really develop their understanding of how the world around them works. Lessons are based around the OCR-A Specification, although we go beyond the confines of the syllabus at times. This rigorous course is well regarded and gives students a holistic and in-depth knowledge of the subject. In addition to comprehensive theoretical lessons we have time to extend pupils with a huge variety of practical work to support their learning. Indeed, for the A Level course students are required to carry out a number of compulsory experiments to show that they have developed their lab skills.
Pupils must have attained at least a grade 8 in GCSE or IGCSE Physics. A GCSE or IGCSE grade of 8 or more in Maths is also essential and students will find that studying A level Maths alongside their Physics is advisable.
