By studying this A Level you will gain an insight into the dynamic world of business and at the end have an holistic understanding of business in a range of contexts, developing a critical understanding of organisations and their ability to meet society’s needs and wants. Business Studies students will learn about dynamic markets, the role of marketing (including social media and online retailing), innovation and entrepreneurship. This leads on to exploring business finance, personnel, production and the economic uncertainty on businesses and the competitive market. You will be moving from functions to strategy, exploring business decision-making, small business survival, managing change and scenario planning. Finally, you will explore global business, investigating overseas markets, cultural and social differences and the impact of multinationals.
At least a grade 6 in Maths, and ideally GCSE Business at grade 6 or above. It is also important that you are interested in the business world around you, that you enjoy communicating and explaining ideas, thinking strategically and working with numbers to solve business problems.
