Baccalaureate
Course summary
If you decide to take the IB route, you will select six subjects, three of which you will study in depth at a Higher Level. The other three you will take at Standard Level. All subjects include a coursework element as well as a final exam at the end of the two-year course. In addition to your elected subjects, you will also complete the IB core elements: Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay. These allow you to develop important study skills and to pursue your own area of interest. More details on the IB subjects and core elements are available in the Sixth Form prospectus. The IB also requires you to plan and deliver extra-curricular activities for the Creativity, Activity and Service element and gain recognition for volunteer work or work experience. These are credited as part of the diploma and can be completed through Sixth Form activities or commitments outside of School.
