It can also be applied in wider settings such as mental health, sports education and forensics. Psychology is a very new science, with most advances happening over the past 150 years or so. However, its origins can be traced back to Ancient Greece, 400-500 years BC. Psychology is perfect for those fascinated by human behaviour and is much more broad-ranging than many imagine. There is something in it for almost all interests, ranging from the hard science' of neuropsychology to the complex interpersonal skills of the counselling psychologist.
As a minimum, students must achieve at least grade 7 (equivalent to A grade) in four separate subjects. In addition, all students must achieve a minimum grade of 6 (equivalent to a high B grade) in Mathematics and English GCSE or IGCSE. Please also note that a minimum of grade 7 is required in those subjects, or closely related subjects, that students wish to study for A Level with the exception of Mathematics where students will require a minimum grade 8 at GCSE and Further Mathematics where students will require a minimum grade 9 at GCSE. (7 required in English Literature & science-based subject or Mathematics)
