Paper One: Marketing, People and Global Business (2 hours, data response and extended-writing questions, 35% of A-level) Boys learn how businesses identify opportunities and explore how businesses focus on developing a competitive advantage through interacting with customers. They develop an understanding of how businesses need to adapt their marketing to operate in a dynamic business environment. Boys also explore how businesses recruit, train, organise and motivate employees, as well as the role of enterprising individuals and leaders. They investigate businesses that trade on a global scale and explore their reasons for doing so. Finally, they develop an understanding of the competitive global environment and consider the ethical and moral dimensions of global business activities. Paper Two: Business Activities, Decisions and Strategies (2 hours, data response and extended-writing questions, 35% of A-level) Boys develop an understanding of raising and managing finance and measuring business performance.
