The OCR Cambridge Technical in Digital Media course is structured so that students cover five units in total which is equivalent to 1 A Level. The topics studied in Years 12 and 13 include: • Unit 1: Media products and audiences - Exam • Unit 2: Pre-production and planning - Exam • Unit 3: Create a media product - Coursework • Unit 20: Advertising Media - Coursework • Unit 21 Plan and deliver a pitch for a media product - Coursework • Plus an additional optional unit internally assessed, coursework. • The course is great for those students who perform well in a variety of assessment methods. Students will learn to write up the findings of their research, use case studies to explore complex or unfamiliar situations, carry out projects for which they have a choice over the direction and outcomes and demonstrate practical and technical skills using appropriate tools and processes. Completing this course will allow you to develop the key skills, knowledge and expertise that will make a difference to you when starting on a new career or completing higher education.
