Art and Design (Photography)
Course summary
Candidates will be introduced to a variety of experiences employing a range of media, processes and techniques appropriate to the chosen option. Knowledge of Art, Craft and Design will be developed through research, working from first-hand experience and secondary, resource material. Practical and analytical skills will also be developed. Candidates are required to participate actively in the course of study, recognising and developing their own strengths in the subject and identifying and sustaining their own lines of enquiry. Practical and contextual/critical work associated with digital techniques alongside traditional methods of work including portraiture, landscape and still life photography, fashion and experimental imagery.
