Course summary

This is a broad-based course exploring practical and critical/ contextual work through a range of 2D and/or 3D processes and media associated with two or more of the titles of either fine art, graphic communication, textile design, 3D design or photography. Students develop practical and theoretical knowledge and understanding of: о Relevant materials, processes, technologies and resources о How ideas, feelings and meanings can be conveyed and interpreted in images and artefacts How images and artefacts relate to the time and place in which they were made and to their social and cultural contexts o Continuity and change in different genres, styles and traditions o A working vocabulary and specialist terminology

Entry requirements

Sixth Form applicants are expected to achieve a minimum of six subjects in Grades 9 to 5 (including Mathematics and English) at GCSE, or international equivalent. Students are expected to have at least Grade 6 at GCSE in the subjects they wish to study at A level. Students wishing to take Further Mathematics at A level must have a Grade 8 in Mathematics at GCSE.
