It enables students to continue to develop their problem solving skills, exercise creativity and explore their various interests in technology. In a world that is ever-changing and driven by technology processes, Computer Science emerges as fundamentally important. The A-Level exposes students to key programming paradigms, advanced data structures and algorithm design and efficiency. Students will analyse and debate moral, ethical, legal and cultural themes from the perspective of a computer scientist. There will also be opportunities to explore and engage with the changing technology scene including cloud services, scaling issues, Big Data, cheap programmable devices, networks etc. This is a practical subject that allows students to apply academic principles to real world situations.
