You will be set a programming task by AQA which you will complete under examination conditions. You will also be taught the Fundamentals of Computing. In the second year, you will complete a Computing Project of your own choosing using the Python programming language.

Entry requirements

The normal expectation for entry to our Sixth Form is six Grades 9 - 5 or equivalent at GCSE, but we do consider all applications on an individual basis, so if you have any concerns about meeting these grades please come and speak to Mrs C L Wheeler or Mr Smith, our Assistant Principal (Academic). A Grade 6 or above in Maths is required. You also really need to be studying A Level Mathematics due to the high level of mathematical skills required in Year 2 of the course. An interest in problem solving would be a useful attribute to bring to the course. You do not need any previous knowledge of computing to follow this course.
